Residence Inn : Zoo Fun and Zipee Adventure in Tagaytay

Residence Inn at Tagaytay City was remarkably a fun place to be in.  It had all the elements of appreciating love for animals as you would see a lot of furry, feathered, and scaly livings attractions right before your very eyes. There are several shops strewn around the small place selling toys and souvenir items, and there’s even a small restaurant.

Residence Inn is the perfect place to go to if you are on a budget and you are looking for a place away from the city to see interesting attractions and a beautiful view of Taal lake and the volcano.

I look forward to it every time I go there and I have even told my friends to make sure that they make it one of their stops when they are in Tagaytay.

The variety of animal collections were moderate in number yet great enough to be appreciated by all ages. There were all kinds of reptiles like snakes, crocodiles and lizards. There were also rabbits, birds, horses, tigers, monkeys, tarantulas, fishes, turtles, etc. Please take a look down below to see just some of the many photos I took during our visit.

Going inside the bird cage and having birds fly towrds you and peck in your hands was something really thrilling as the name of the attraction implied “Bird Thrill”. You just need to buy a Php 10 worth of bird feeds from the counter across the bird cage….and soon you’ll be experiencing birds flying back and forth towards you.

Feeding the birds at the Bird Thrill area was like zooooo thrilling as well as you try to be very careful you don’t get to crush them or accidentally step on them while they vicariously try to grab a bite of the feeds in your hands. The birds will even think you have food for them even by just opening your hands.

How I wished I could have tried the horseback riding but we seem to have very few time to do that. We needed to go back to Manila because others had a previous engagement. But still we ended up coming back late because of traffic during rush hour.

Photo with the tiger was not really new for me because I’ve tried it at Baluarte in Vigan, Ilocos Sur before. But the trainers here had a different way of taking the attention of the tiger away form you. They will let the tiger suck milk using a huge feeding bottle so you could freely touch the tiger while having your picture taken.

And then there’s the chance to take a picture with the tiger while they lure his attention with a feeding bottle. It is a bit scary that they have to do that because otherwise the tiger might just attack you if it doesn’t like the way you move or touch him.

What was more interesting was the fact that it had a zip line! Yes! A zippideedooda zip line that will let you fly from one point to another while nervously trying to keep yourself from looking down into the bushes below in fear of falling. You also get to ride on a cable car on your way back to the zip line area.
