Did the Aquinos Personally Benefit from DAP?

President Noynoy Aquino

Few people would believe President Aquino whenever he tells everyone that his DAP is different from the PDAF of the legislators.  He would insist that it is the people who benefits from the DAP while it was the senators and other lawmakers who benefitted from the PDAF.  It was confirmed by the DAR that P5.4 billion of the DAP was used to compensate the owners of the Hacienda Luisita and a majority of the owners here are the Cojuangcos and the Aquinos.  This means that the President and his clan were able to personally benefit from DAP no matter how much he would want to deny it.

The compensation was even more than the value of the land there which means they got to pocket the extra funds that were given to them and it would be up to them where they would spend it.  As a taxpaying citizen, it disgusts me to see people in power take advantage of their position for their personal use.  However, I do believe in karma so it won’t be long before it bites them in the end.  It is now understood why President Aquino is mad at the Supreme Court for making the DAP illegal.

President Aquino is wrong about protesting the Supreme Court’s decision on DAP.  He should embrace the decision and just move on since there are a lot of things to take care of in this country.  He only has two years left in his term so he should be more focused on giving more jobs to those who don’t have jobs and lessening the amount of homeless people in the country.  He should not be focused on DAP all the time.  The administration should make projects that would please the people and not anger them as time is running out on Aquino’s term.
